There is something pretty unique about waking up early in a tent and taking the first peak out the un-zipped flap to discover a whole new scenery. I thought i would share a photo project of the Russian photographer Oleg Grigoryev, that just captures these stunning moments in a project called Morning Views from the Tent. All these were taken while he was traveling around central Asia.Comments (0)
Michigan-based graphic designer Sarah Brockett, The Bold Bakery is a branding concept for a bakery with an edge. Sweet treats that you probably shouldn’t bring to a Sunday dinner at Grandma’s.
An ode to the current changing of the seasons here in L.A.: Andy Warhol in Flushing, Queens, amid black-eyed Susans near the 1964 World’s Fair, with a freshly completed Flowers painting in the background.
William John Kennedy, a freelance photographer when the photos were taken, had
nearly forgotten about them and only rediscovered the images several years ago in a “beat-up cardboard box” while Kennedy and his wife were preparing to move to Miami.”These photographs are a revelation: disclosing the early Warhol’s intimate relationship with his work; revealing more about the artist and the work through these intimate portraits. Though the subject of innumerable photos, we have not seen this Warhol before.”Comments (0)

It’s quite possible that you’ve never heard of the brand Mercer, after all, this company was an American automobile manufacturer that produced cars before World War II and are probably not mentioned in any of the history books handed out in most classrooms.
For the short version (long version here) of the story, Mercer was responsible for the Mercer 35 Raceabout which was produced back in 1910 and considered the most admired sports cars of the decade. The Mercer Cobra Roadster was a one-off vehicle commissioned by the Copper Development Association from Virgil Exner’s designs in Esquire. Its design was drawn up by Virgil Exner and Virgil Exner, Jr. and was built using a Shelby Cobra chassis, and can be found on the Shelby American World Registry as sold through Shelby American in February 1964. Not only did Shelby provide the chassis, but the company also provided the engine and gearbox. If you desire to get your hands on this one off magnificent piece of design history, it just recently went on auction at RM Auctions for $660,000.Comments (0)
