The Norwegian designer duo Sigve Bø(18) and Lars Sunde(20) established their design company Boe&Sunde in 2009, and a year later the first Woodies were flaunted to the public.
Their frames are hand crafted exclusively from unique pieces of wood. The sunglasses get their individual identity from different types of trees based in specific locations in Norway. Most sunglasses that are made today go through some vigorous and energy demanding manufacturing processes, but the Woodies are donated from mother earth herself and through decades of photosynthesis. Boe&Sunde prides themselves on running a highly ethical standard of manufacturing, avoiding wood from areas with depleting natural resources, and they value the unique quality the frame material possesses.

Renault has been sitting on a new concept , and we’ve only seen a few preview glimpse before these nice pictures dropped a little while back. The DeZir is the first step in a different design direction for Renault, trying broaden their target audience from small families to the speed junkies. The electric powered concept is the first work of Renault’s chief designer Laurent Van Den Acker, and I think that it shows great initative towards the electric car race for the future. The engine is mounted mid-rear position to optimize weight distribution and it shoots off from 0 to 100 km/h in five seconds.

Concept watch by graduate designer, Dave Prince from Winsconsin. The name of the concept watch is Jörmungand, and that’s what partly caught my eye. Being the Norwegian that I am, I can’t help but to enjoy this concept for both its name and design. To refresh your knowledge on nors mythology check out this link, meanwhile enjoy these nice renderings of the watch.

The ALPA brand has been around for almost half a century, after a gap of 8 year they completely re-launched with a new concept in camera design with the ALPA 12. With this new brand the company has established itself as top of the line in its chosen field. As you’ve probably read before I’m all about form follows function, and this brand stays true to that mantra. Now launching some new wood handgrips, this camera is truly one for the books.

The Scraper Bike King and his Captains will evaluate your wheels, and only if they approve, you’ll be able to go “Mobbin” and get the Original Scraper Bike Team shirt. Oscar and I headed up to the Ventura Beatnik Blowout a couple of weekend’s back, to gawk at some of America’s most attractive rides. Partly just to check out the scene and to do some research for Oscar’s 66 Ford F-100, that will be rolling the streets soon. After a taking a million pictures, consuming a hotdog, purchasing some Mooneyes stickers and a Mexican blanket we rolled back to LA both visually satisfied and inspired.

As Brian has mentioned earlier Citroen is really coming together and producing some stunning cars lately, and the Metropolis can definitely be added to the bunch. When we think of streched limousines here in the US our thoughts go towards, Lincolns, Benz and Maybachs and not Citroens, but the french automakers are ready to break some ground with this new Metropolis. It’s currently just a concept car and is due to be unveiled next month at the Shanghai Motor show, right after the Beijing expo where BMW is to debut their new 5-series and the Audi with the new A8 L. However, the Metropolis is said to be even bigger and longer than any of these cars, streching a whole 5.3 meters in length, 2 meter is width and 1.4 meters high. The Citroen Metropolis is power by a hybrid powertrain featuring a 2-litre V6 petrol engine developing 272bhp (200kW) and 375Nm of torque and an electric motor with 95bhp (70kW). The company says that when both, the combustion engine and the electric motor are in use, the Citroen Metropolis develops 460bhp (345kW) and 430Nm of torque. This means that the power units of the Citroen Metropolis, when working together, output more than their added performance.
