Pages from the July 1968 Vogue. Photographed by Franco Rubartelli, Styled by Giorgio di Sant’Angelo and modeled by Veruschka in the Arizona desert. Over five days, the trio created one look per day from only yards of un-sewn fabric, furs, ropes and stones found in the desert.

THE REDDRESS

At the 2011 London Design Festival last week, 238 audience members sat inside the “pockets” of the RedDress, worn by Finnish vocalist Emma Salokoski, accompanied by the Britten Sinfonia string quartet and guitarist Jarmo Saari. The installation designed by Aamu Song measured 20 meters in diameter, 3 meters in height and used 550 meters of Divina wool fabric by Kvadrat.
