Tame Impala is stepping up the game. It is interesting to hear their perspective on the various types of success and the
purposeful undertones they included to partake in the current technical mindset while maintaining and expanding upon proven rock musicality. If you don’t know this is an amazing hesh rock album with intelligent movements and easy to grasp themes. I dig it.

Tadhg Taylor’s definitive book Top Fellas tracks the “two-fisted, two-decade” history of sharp from its emergence (parallel to mod in the UK) through successive and distinctive Oz responses to skinhead, glam and punk.

According to Taylor, the “killer elite” were the Top Fellas: “To be a Top Fella you had to be handy in a blue (fight), hell on the dance floor, cocksure with a brush and dapper as all get-out.”

Excerpt from Greg Macainsh’s 1974 film about sharpies. The tough and stylish Australian music/fashion youth cult which sprang from Melbourne’s blue collar suburbs.

If you have spent time in Los Angeles, then you have probably spent some time listening to KCRW. It is the best non-profit radio ever. Although some music gets a bit techno and the opinions a bit liberal for my taste, overall it is worth supporting. Here is the full album preview of “The Hundred in the Hands”, courtesy of KCRW

Kangol F/W Lookbook 2010. I really like the graphic application on these photos. Just a touch of color that is almost not even seen at times. Well done.
